#समाचार- एक परिचय
#News : An Inroduction

• समाचार का साधारण अर्थ है सूचना। मनुष्य के आसपास और चारों दिशाओं में घटने वाली सूचना। समाचार को अंग्रेजी के ‘न्यूज’ शब्द का हिन्दी समरुप माना जाता है। न्यूज यानी नॉर्थ, ईस्ट, वेस्ट और साउथ, चारों दिशाओं की सूचना। इस प्रकार समाचार का अर्थ हुआ चारों दिशाओं में घटित घटनाओं की सूचना।
News simply means information. It is the Information that happens around humans and in all four directions. Samachar is considered as a Hindi version of the word 'News' in English. News means information of all four directions i.e. North, East, West and South. In this way, news means information about events happening in all four directions.
• यह प्रिंट मीडिया (विशेषकर समाचार पत्र) में लेखन का प्रमुख प्रकार है।
It is the main type of writing in print media (especially news paper).
• समाचार को हम सीधे-सीधे, बिना किसी लाग-लपेट के लिखते हैं।
We write the news straightforward and without any predilection.
• समाचारों के मामले में अधिकतर उल्टा पिरामिड शैली इस्तेमाल होती है। इस शैली में सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात सबसे ऊपर और फिर बाकी चीजें घटते महत्व के क्रम में प्रस्तुत की जाती है।
In the news, the invert pyramid style is used. In this genre the most important thing is written above. Then the rest is presented in order of decreasing importance.
• समाचार का सबसे पहला और शाश्वत गुण है उसकी नवीनता। पाठक के लिए कोई सूचना तभी पढ़ने योग्य होती है जब उसे अखबार के जरिये पहला बार कुछ नया पढ़ने को मिलता है।
The first and eternal quality of news is its innovation. Any information is readable for the reader only when he gets to read something new through the newspaper for the first time.
• इसके अतिरिक्त संक्षिप्तता, स्पष्टता, सामयिकता आदि समाचार की प्रमुख विशेषताएं हैं।
Apart from this, brevity, clarity, timeliness etc. are the major features of the news.
• साथ ही असमानता, आकांक्षा, आत्मीयता, निकटता, करुणा, मानवीयता, सहानुभूति और रहस्य का भी समाचार में विशेष महत्व होता है।
Inequality, aspiration, affinity, proximity, compassion, humanity, sympathy and secrets also have special significance in the news.
• समाचार लिखते समय मुख्य रूप से छह प्रश्नों- क्या, कौन, कहाँ, कब , क्यों और कैसे का उत्तर देने की कोशिश की जाती है। इन्हें समाचार के छह ककार कहा जाता है। प्रथम चार प्रश्नों के उत्तर इंट्रो में तथा अन्य दो के उत्तर समापन से पूर्व बॉडी वाले भाग में दिए जाते हैं।
While writing the news mainly tries to answer six questions - what, who, where, when, why and how. These are called the 5W1H of news. Answers to the first four questions are given in intro and the answers of the other two are given in the body part before concluding.
• फिल्मों में, धारावाहिकों में और कहानी, उपन्यास में रहस्य या मुख्य बात को यथासंभव अधिकतम समय तक छिपाकर रखा जाता है। वहां पर पूरी कहानी या रहस्य को समझने में दर्शक या पाठक को जितनी देर लगती है, उतना ही अच्छा माना जाता है। लेकिन समाचार की दुनिया में ठीक इसके उलटा होता है। समाचार में आपको मुख्य बात को तीन-तीन बार पाठक को बताना पड़ता है। एक बार हैडिंग में, दूसरी बार इंट्रो यानी पहले पैराग्राफ में और तीसरी बार खबर के बाकी हिस्से में थोड़े ज्यादा विवरण के साथ।
In films, in serials and in a story, novel, the mystery or the main thing is kept hidden for as long as possible. The longer it takes the viewer or reader to understand the whole story or mystery, the better it is considered. But the opposite happens in the world of news. In the news, you have to tell the main thing to the reader thrice, 0ne time in heading, second time in intro i.e. first paragraph and third time in rest of news with slightly more details.

• समाचार किसी बात को लिखने या कहने का वह तरीका है जिसमें उस घटना/विचार/ समस्या के सबसे अहम तथ्यों को सबसे पहले बताया जाता है और उसके बाद घटते हुये महत्व के क्रम में, अन्य तथ्यों या सूचनाओं को लिखा या बताया जाता है।
News is the way of writing or saying something in which the most important facts of that event/idea/problem are first told and then in order of decreasing importance, other facts or information are written or told.
• इस शैली में किसी घटना का ब्यौरा काल क्रम के बजाय सबसे महत्वपूर्ण तथ्य या सूचना से शुरु होता है।
In this style, the details of an event begin with the most important fact or information rather than the time sequence.

• किसी नवीन घटना, आंकड़े, बयान अथवा किसी व्यक्ति की राय का यथावत, लेकिन महत्व के क्रम में प्रस्तुतीकरण समाचार कहलाता है।
• The exact presentation of a new event, figure, statement or opinion of a person, but in order of importance, is called news.

• समाचार में रिपोर्टर को अपने विचारों को डालने की स्वतंत्रता नहीं होती, जबकि लेख/फीचर में लेखक को अपनी राय, दृष्टिकोण और भावनाओं को जाहिर करने का अवसर होता है।
In the news, the reporter is not at liberty to express his views, whereas in the article / feature, the writer has an opportunity to express his opinion, point of view and feelings.
• समाचार उल्टा पिरामिड शैली में में लिखे जाते हैं, जबकि फ़ीचर/लेख लेखन की कोई सुनिश्चित शैली नहीं होती।
News are written in reverse pyramid style, while there is no definite style of feature / article writing.
• फ़ीचर में समाचारों की तरह शब्दों की सीमा नहीं होती। आमतौर पर फ़ीचर, समाचार/रिपोर्ट से बड़े होते हैं। पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में प्राय: 250 से 2000 शब्दों तक के फ़ीचर छपते हैं।
The feature does not have a word limit like news. Feature is usually larger than news/report. Features ranging from 250 to 2000 words are printed in newspapers and magazines.

समाचार लेखन की उल्टा पिरामिड शैली के तहत लिखे गये समाचारों को मुख्यतः तीन हिस्सों में विभाजित किया जाता है-
1- शीर्षक
2- मुखड़ा या इंट्रो या लीड,
3- बॉडी
The news written under the Invert pyramid style of news writing is mainly divided into three parts-
1- Title

*** 1- Title
शीर्षक वह पाठ (टेक्स्ट) है जो अपने नीचे दिए गए समाचार, लेख आदि की प्रकृति का संकेत देता है। यह समाचार का सबसे प्रमुख और शीर्ष भाग होता है।
The headline is the text that indicates the nature of the news, articles etc. given below it. This is the most prominent and top part of the news.
It is also called epilogue of news or any article.
The headline of any news is the soul of that news. Due to the headline, the reader is not only motivated to read the news, but also understands the subject matter of the news through the headline. The expansion of the headline shows the importance of news.
*** 2- Intro or lead,
मुखड़ा या इंट्रो समाचार के पहले और कभी-कभी पहले और दूसरे दोनों पैराग्राफ को कहा जाता है। मुखड़ा किसी भी समाचार का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा होता है क्योंकि इसमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण तथ्यों और सूचनाओं को लिखा जाता है।
The first and sometimes both the first and second paragraphs of the News are called Intro. Intro is the most important part of any news because most important facts and information are written in it.
*** 3- Body
इसके बाद समाचार की बॉडी आती है, जिसमें महत्व के अनुसार घटते हुये क्रम में सूचनाओं और ब्यौरा देने के अलावा उसकी पृष्ठभूमि का भी जिक्र किया जाता है।
After this comes the body of news, in which information and details are mentioned in descending order according to importance and its background is also mentioned.

• किसी भी घटना, स्थिति या सामाजिक क्षेत्र का सापेक्ष विवरण प्रस्तुत करना रिपोर्ट कहलाता है। समाचार के विपरीत रिपोर्ट में रिपोर्टर खुद की मौजूदगी को छिपाता नहीं है। इसके बजाय वह साक्षात/प्रत्यक्ष विवरण को अपने लेखन की विशेषता के तौर पर प्रयोग करता है। रिपोर्ट के जरिये पाठक को विस्तार से समीक्षात्मक जानकारी दी जाती है।
Presenting a relative description of any event, situation or social area is called a report. Reporters, unlike the news, do not hide their own presence. Instead, he uses the evident description as an attribute of his writing. Through the report, the reader is given detailed review information.
• साधारण समाचार और रिपोर्ट में मूल अंतर संवाददाता के पक्ष का ही है। समाचार के लिए जहां निष्पक्ष होना जरूरी है, वहीं रिपोर्ट का निष्पक्ष होना जरूरी नहीं है। रिपोर्टर तथ्यों को अपने नजरिये और जानकारी के आधार पर विस्तार देकर या विश्लेषण करके रिपोर्ट बनाता है।
The basic difference between ordinary news and reports is from the reporter's side. While news needs to be fair, the report does not have to be fair. The reporter makes a report by elaborating or analyzing the facts based on his perspective and information.
• रिपोर्टर की खुद की मौजूदगी रिपोर्ट का मजबूत पहलू होती है। रिपोर्ट पढ़कर पाठक को ऐसा लगना चाहिए जैसे वह स्वयं मौके पर मौजूद हो।
The reporter's own presence is a strong aspect of the report. The reader should feel as if he is present on the spot by reading the report.

• समाचार में प्राप्त हुई सूचना में नवीनता हो।
There should be novelty in the information received in the news.
• समाचार में कोई असाधारणता होनी चाहिए। घटना तो हर समय होती रहती हैं। कुत्ते ने मनुष्य को काट लिया तो यह एक घटना है लेकिन सामान्य बात है, लेकिन यदि कोई कुत्ता या कुत्ते बहुत सारे लोगों को काट लें और बड़े पैमाने पर लोग जख्मी हो जाएं तो यह असाधारण बात होगी।
There should be some extravagance in the news. Events happen all the time. It is a common occurrence if a dog bites a human, but if a dog or dogs bites a lot of people and a large number of people get injured then it will be an extraordinary thing.
• समाचार किसी अफवाह पर आधारित न हो। उसमें सत्यता और तथ्यात्मकता हो। इसी से वह विश्वसनीय और प्रमाणिक बनेगी।
The news should not be based on any rumor. There should be truth and factuality in it. With this, she will become reliable and authentic.
• समाचार में रुचिपूर्णता होनी चाहिए। उसमें ज्यादा लोगों की दिलचस्पी हो। असाधारण सूचना में भी यदि लोगों की रुचि नहीं होगी तो वह वह सूचना समाचार नहीं बन पाएगी।
There should be interest in the news. More people should be interested in it. Even if people are not interested in extraordinary information, then that information will not become news.
• सूचना को प्रभावशाली भी होना चाहिए। वह समाज या उसके किसी समूह को प्रभावित करने वाली होनी चाहिए। मिली सूचना में व्यापकता का गुण हो। वह लोगों पर प्रभाव डालनी वाली हो।
Information should also be effective. It must be influencing society or any group of it. Information received should have a quality of comprehensiveness. She is supposed to impress people.
• समाचार स्पष्ट और सरल भी होना चाहिए। यदि सूचना लोगों के समझ में ही नहीं आएगी तो वह कितनी भी प्रभावशाली हो, बेकार साबित होगी।
The news must also be clear and simple. If the information is not understood by the people, then how effective it is, it will prove to be useless.
